My fellowship with the Lord

 

“Blessed are they which do hunger for righteousness: for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6 KJV). 

As I continued to grow in faith, I realized that the more I suffered for the gospel, the more my relationship with the Lord improved. The Lord started ministering to me in dreams and visions. I felt more and more closer to God because of persecutions and rejections. The Lord was the only friend I had and was speaking to me about everything I was going through.

The moment I was born again, I did not know God`s word in depth. However, I spent more time in prayer. I remember having cultivated the habit of staying in my room and worshiping God for seventy-two hours until His holy presence could saturate my inner being.

Sometimes I could not sleep all night long, crying before God to bless my Pastor. I prayed for my local church that the Lord might bring more people saved. I cried out to God to deliver our city from the snare of the wicked. I prayed for my family and friends and many more. I never asked God to make me become a powerful gospel preacher that I am today, but I just loved spending time before Him seeking His marvellous and holy face until the presence of the Holy Spirit would visit my room.

 Sometimes I had tears of joy in my eyes, especially while thinking about His grace and what He`s done for me. There were moment when the anointing came upon me like fire or electricity and all my body began to shake. So often, I felt like a strong wind came into my room.

Because of God`s glory, all my face was covered sometimes with tangible natural oil. There were times when I felt  as if somebody touched me, suddenly I entered into  supernatural encounters with God  either  a vision or an out of body experience . I could see angels and most supernatural beings described in the book of revelation.

It`s difficult for me to describe how I feel when I am in the presence of God, one thing is certain, God always dwells among the praises of His people. When we seek Him, we find Him always because he reveals Himself to us with love and mercy.

Do you want to experience God`s power? Do you want to be used by God? Do you expect a miracle in your life? Do you want to see the heavens? Angels? Jesus? Yes, all this can only happen when you believe and remain in the atmosphere of worship.

The Psalmist said:  “He who dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty” (Psalm.91:1).

 

 

 

God hears our prayers

 

I wanted to know more about the things of God. There were times when God would wake me up in the middle of the night just to pray. Actually, I managed to pray all night long for twenty one years. I spent more time speaking to God than complaining about things. I always looked up to God.

The Lord often woke me up and gave me visions of things to come, and then I prayed in line with them.

The more I obeyed the voice of the Holy Spirit, the more my intimacy with Lord went to another level.  The more I prayed, the more situations in our home changed.

As any other homes, we had our own issues, but no matter the situation we had, the Lord always came through for us.

 As we were growing up, I realized that people around our community did not like us physically and spiritually. Every day we were victims of attacks and our home was continuously under attack, but through our prayers we always came out victorious.

In the area where we used to live, the community was somehow cursed because every kid as soon as they were twelve years old had to stop school and start dealing with drugs. No one in that community was even able to pass their GCSEs. The children from very young age were involved in crimes, drugs, sexual immorality. The spirit of death was destroying the whole community and most young people were dying early.

For that reason, the Lord put in my heart the desire to pray for our community for change. I fasted and sacrificed myself in prayer until the grace of God was manifested and the Lord began to change the lives of people living within the community. 

The Lord worked tremendously wonders for us. Hope was restored and our community was transformed during that period. Young people started dropping guns, quitting drugs and alcohol. Many of them started attending local churches.

Our community was revived. The power of witchcraft and occultism which caused the community to be stagnant was destroyed. The Lord started revealing them all. One by one, those cultists agent were being jdelivered by God and started joining our church. Even the powers of darkness forces were broken. This happened in 1998.
