Dry places: Where are they located ?

 

In the Bible, the expressions "dry places" or "waterless places" appear primarily in Matthew 12:43 and Luke 11:24. Jesus explains that when an unclean spirit leaves a person, it wanders through dry places seeking rest, yet finds none. He describes these dry or waterless regions as places where evil spirits, deprived of their dwelling, search for rest but are unable to find satisfaction.

Ever since I was a child, I always imagined these dry places to be deserts. However, one question continually troubled me: since unclean spirits are sent into dry places after deliverance prayers, do they also go into desert regions where human beings live?

By definition, a desert is a vast geographical area characterized by very low rainfall (less than 200 mm per year), extreme aridity, and an almost complete absence of vegetation. There are hot deserts (such as the Sahara) and cold deserts (such as Antarctica). According to my research, more than sixty countries around the world contain deserts within their territories when the world's major hot, cold, and coastal deserts are taken into account. 

So where are those dry places of the bible located?

My Personal Testimony

I remember that in June 2015, I was traveling on a Kenya Airways flight to Brazzaville via Kenya. Every seat on the aircraft was equipped with a screen displaying satellite images showing the plane's geographical position. Suddenly, while the aircraft was flying between Somalia and Ethiopia, I saw Satan enter the aircraft from the dry places. He approached a flight attendant who was an agent of darkness and whispered something into her ear.

I then asked the Lord what was happening. The Holy Spirit answered that Satan was instructing the flight attendant to poison the tea she was about to serve me. The Holy Spirit then warned me not to touch it.

Wanting to better understand the nature of the dry places, I questioned the Holy Spirit. He explained to me that the dry places are located between Somalia and Ethiopia. For unclean spirits, this is a transitional zone between a higher dimension and a lower dimension. He further explained that whenever demons are cast out, they are thrown by angels or by the hand of God into these dry places, which constitute a dry, waterless realm situated between the deserts of these two countries. Once cast into this dimension, they remain isolated and powerless for a period of time. After they regain their form, they return to the person from whom they were expelled, seeking to re-enter them.

In the spiritual realm, the distance between a person's life and the dry places is comparable to the distance between the palm of a hand and the thumb.

Since ancient times, God has chosen these two desert regions as the dwelling place for spirits. These two deserts are not ordinary in nature; they are exceedingly high, invisible dimensions.

Why Somalia and Ethiopia?

According to what I have received from God, the deserts of these two countries constitute the fastest gateways of entry and exit between the earth and the Astral World. Whenever evil spirits seek the quickest access to the surface of the abyss (the place of activities within the kingdom of darkness) they pass through the deserts of Somalia and Ethiopia.

So because of the geographical location of these dry places, these two countries suffer from hardship, poverty, and misery a form of undesirable existence that, according to what I have received, is imposed upon them by demons.

Famine in Ethiopia

A widespread famine struck Ethiopia from 1983 to 1985.

It was the worst famine the country experienced during the 20th century. It affected approximately 7.75 million people, out of an estimated Ethiopian population of 38 to 40 million, and is believed to have caused the deaths of approximately 300,000 to 1.2 million people.

Approximately 2.5 million people were internally displaced, while 400,000 refugees fled Ethiopia. Nearly 200,000 children were left orphaned.

The Famine in Somalia

The famine in Somalia may refer to:

• The 1992 famine in Somalia, which is estimated to have caused the deaths of 200,000 to 300,000 people in Somalia.

• The 2011 drought in East Africa, which is estimated to have caused the deaths of approximately 260,000 people in Somalia.

The War in Somalia

The war in Somalia is a prolonged civil conflict that began in 1991, following the overthrow of dictator Siad Barre.

The conflict currently involves the Federal Government of Somalia, supported by international peacekeeping forces, fighting against the extremist Islamist group Al-Shabaab. The country has also experienced internal clashes between the federal government and certain federal member states.

The Ethiopian-Somali Conflict

The Ethiopian-Somali conflict is a territorial and political dispute involving Ethiopia, Somalia, and various insurgent groups. The conflict has its roots in territorial and political tensions dating back to 1948 and, in various forms, continues to this day.

In conclusion, it is very difficult for this region of Africa to experience God's revival because of the nature of spiritual warfare which takes place there.
